Hello
Real Swim Academy
swimenjoyahn
is here
It's a good Friday that seems like a good day.
I'm currently trying hard to forget some unpleasant things that happened a few days ago and hoping to quickly overcome this period and return to my usual state. Although things haven't been going well since the beginning of January, I'll consider it as a way to start fresh in the new year.
Now then!!!
Today's post is about
Stretching!!!
Let's find out about it!!!
For inquiries, please contact 010 8774 0487. Please send a text message as it's difficult to have a phone call during classes. If you have inquiries for the Busan branch, please make sure to mention it as the Busan branch.

First of all, before understanding the importance, let's find out what stretching is.
What is stretching?
Most of you probably know the definition of stretching, but it's an exercise that elongates muscles, tendons, ligaments, etc., in various parts of the body.
Then
Why is stretching necessary?
Firstly, it helps warm up the body!!!
In simple terms, just as it's better to warm up the engine before using a car rather than starting it right away, the same goes for the human body! Whether before exercising or doing other activities in the morning, it's good to start with stretching!
Swimmers and athletes in other sports consistently stretch before competitions and matches.
And!!!
Did you know that you can sweat just by stretching???
In other words, even if you dislike active exercises, stretching alone can be helpful.
Stretching before exercise increases flexibility, speeds up blood circulation, and reduces the risk of injury to the muscles used, reducing it by about 80%.
I always say in class, if you're in pain, don't try to do everything. If swimming is too hard, just walk or do some stretching comfortably.
After exercise, stretching helps reduce muscle soreness in the areas used, aiding in the removal of waste products accumulated from exercise.
Is stretching only for exercise???
Stretching is good to do regularly even if it's not for the purpose of exercise.
Especially for students and office workers!!!
If you sit for a long time while working, the fascia and skin muscles between the muscles become stiff. In such cases, there is a risk of injury and a decrease in flexibility and muscle mass if you suddenly lift heavy objects or start running.
So, stretching is essential before or after exercise, isn't it?
Today, we'll stop here.
